A small shop for the first four years
Fig & Fox is an independent online shop for babies and toddlers, run from Edinburgh. We stock clothing, sleep and nursery bits, feeding and bathtime things, shoes, hats and the small practical items that make the first four years easier.
We are new. We opened in August 2026, and everything on this site is chosen by one person rather than by a buying team.
How we choose what to stock
The range is small on purpose. Rather than list thousands of items, we pick things that do one job well and sell them at a price that makes sense for something your child will grow out of.
Two rules we hold ourselves to:
- Sizes in plain language. Ages, not codes. If a size runs small, we say so.
- No claims we cannot stand behind. If an item is a comfort product rather than safety equipment, our description says exactly that. A swim vest is a swimming aid, not a lifejacket. A padded head cushion is a cushion, not a helmet. Nothing we sell replaces you keeping an eye on your child, and we will never write copy that suggests otherwise.
How your order reaches you
Some of our range is shipped directly by our supply partners, which can mean a longer wait than a large retailer with a warehouse down the road. We would rather tell you that here than surprise you after you have paid. Delivery timescales are on every product page and in our shipping policy.
What we are working on
Own photography, so you can see how things actually look rather than a stock image. A wider newborn range. And a returns process that is as painless as we can make it.
Talk to us
There is no call centre here. Emails come to the person who runs the shop, and we answer within one working day, Monday to Friday. If you are not sure whether something will suit your child, ask before you buy and we will give you an honest answer, including when the answer is that we are not the right shop for what you need.
